Rooted in Science. Focused on You.

Welcome! I'm Dr. Manisha Ram, ND, MD, MPH

I'm a licensed Naturopathic Doctor practicing in Surrey, BC.

My passion for naturopathic medicine stems from my belief that healthcare should be personalized, preventive, and focused on the whole person. With training in both conventional and naturopathic medicine, I strive to bridge the two approaches to provide comprehensive, evidence-informed care. I believe in looking beyond symptoms to understand the underlying factors contributing to illness while empowering patients to take an active role in their health.

In my practice, I have a special interest in mental health, digestive health, cardiometabolic health, women’s health and integrative cancer care, with a strong emphasis on chronic disease prevention and long-term wellness. I also offer IV nutrient therapy, iron infusions, and vitamin injections as part of my individualized approach to patient care.

Above all, I value building meaningful relationships with my patients and creating a welcoming space where they feel heard, supported, and understood. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to develop realistic, sustainable treatment plans that align with your unique health needs and goals.

I look forward to being part of your journey toward better health!

My Journey in Medicine

My journey into healthcare began with a strong foundation in conventional medicine, where I earned my Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from St. George's University School of Medicine.

Through my medical education, clinical rotations, and residency training experience, I gained valuable exposure to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of medical conditions. This training helped shape my clinical reasoning, deepen my understanding of human physiology and disease, and reinforce the importance of evidence-based medicine in patient care.

However, throughout my medical training, I found myself increasingly drawn to a question:

What if healthcare could go beyond diagnosing and treating illness? What if we could place greater emphasis on preventing disease before it develops?

While I recognized the tremendous value of conventional medicine, I also became increasingly interested in exploring the underlying factors that contribute to chronic illness, including lifestyle, nutrition, environmental influences, and long-term health behaviours.

This curiosity inspired me to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH), where I developed a deeper appreciation for preventive medicine, health promotion, and the broader determinants of health.

My passion for prevention and individualized patient care continued to grow, eventually leading me to the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), where I earned my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) degree.

Having trained in both conventional and naturopathic medicine, I bring a unique perspective to patient care.

My conventional medical background provides a strong foundation in understanding disease processes, clinical assessment, and medical management, while my naturopathic education allows me to incorporate additional evidence-informed approaches focused on prevention, lifestyle medicine, nutrition, and individualized treatment.

I don't view conventional and naturopathic medicine as competing philosophies. Rather, I believe they can complement one another when thoughtfully and appropriately integrated.
